Do you want to be wear a scary skeleton costume this year for Halloween?

Look like you just crawled out from under the headstones in a Halloween skeleton costume.  There are scary outfits for boys & girls, toddlers to adults and even a few sexy skeleton costumes too.

Every Halloween I see several different skeletons invading the streets in search for candy.  Because of this, costume designers constantly are inventing new boney masterpieces for this spooky holiday.

Please let me show you a few of my favorites out of the huge assortment that is available:

Scary Skeleton Costume
This thing is so creepy!  The skull latex mask is very detailed with dark shadows in the deep grooves of bone.  The protruding pointed teeth and the fin like mohawk of spikes really makes you look fierce.  The Brown and black robe is tattered and looks like you crawled from the darkest of places.  This is a one size fits all costume.  In the image, the hands are painted, but for that extra effect you might want to get some monster hand accessories and maybe personalize it with a bone scythe or something.

Grave Skeleton Costume
New for 2010, this Halloween skeleton costume is revisited from an old favorite.  Haunt your Halloween parties this year in the long black hooded robe.  The overcoat is tattered  and gauze like for that ephemeral ghost look.  The boney hand gloves and skeleton skull mask will make you look a fright! The exceptional detail on the mask shows cracks in the skull and even a few missing teeth.  You might want to get some black face paint to put around your eyes in order to blend in behind the mask a little better.  There are a number of accessories like the rusty chain that will help make your costume unique.

VooDoo Skeleton Costume
OOOooo… some how the addition of VooDoo makes a Halloween skeleton costume even scarier.  Dance around your favorite haunts this year with a shrunken head scepter and cast your spells for tricks or treats.  The costume includes the white skull mask that has the crazy hair and top hat with red feather plume already attached.  Then drape on the long velvet like black overcoat and spooky skull necklace.  For added effect you might consider getting the skeleton shirt and gloves as depicted in the image.  And if you are going out as a couple, then you might match up with the VooDoo Queen Costume.

Pirate Skeleton Costumes
These are great for a Pirates of the Caribbean party or for Halloween.  This Barnacle Bones Outfit is one of several Pirate Skeleton Costumes.  Chase after and  loot those landlubbers for Halloween candy in this detailed outfit.  It has a skeleton chest piece with a white tattered open front shirt that is cinched down by a red sash around the waist.  A red bandana tops off the skull mask and the black and white pants create the full effect.  Get this costume in sizes small, medium, large or x-large.

Did you know that the human skeleton has over 200 bones?  The skull alone has about 20 bones! It is the main structure to which muscles, tendons, and ligaments attach and provides support, movement and protection of the body.

The Skeleton has long been an icon of Halloween and an image of death.  For instance, look at the skull and cross bones - it has been used to notify that something is poisonous and as the main flag designation for pirate ships.  The grim reaper is usually depicted as some sort of skeletal being too.
